Keyword Placement
In the old day’s keyword placement in your content was the quickest way to get high rankings. The more the keyword was used in the article the higher the article ranked.
Well today it is known as keyword stuffing, and you need to be very careful how many times you use the keyword now. As a rule of thumb I wouldn’t use it more than once per hundred words, and even that might be too much.
A lot of people will debate me on this, but when I write an article, I don’t even consider the keyword at all. My personal opinion is when you are writing about a certain subject the keyword will fall into play naturally without you even thinking about it. So just be yourself and try and explain the content in your own words, because this way you will guarantee that the article is 100% original and unique.
On top of that, what’s important here is that you write the article for your visitor and not for the search engines, because at the end of the day they are the ones who are reading it, so it needs to make sense, and if it’s a good read the person will stay on your website longer and will come back more regularly?
Another important tip here is, Google now monitors the engagement rate on your site, its part of their algorithm, especially when you get into the top 10 results. So the longer the visitor stays on your website the better. If your visitors spend time on your site, it sends a message back to the Serps saying that your content is good, and trust me, it will improve your rankings.
Conclusion
Be honest and original when writing content, and seriously forget about keyword placement, because long term this will benefit you immensely. Not only will it improve your rankings, but also it will bring people back to your site.
